MOSCOW, August 7 (Itar-Tass) - Moscow’s police have seized a 1.5 million-euro batch of counterfeit black caviar in a supermarket network, the head of the Interior Ministry’s economic security department, Yevgeny Shkolov, told journalists on Tuesday.

He pointed out that laboratory tests proved that “caviar contains a group of coliform bacteria, which is dangerous for people.”

“Police seized 268 kilograms of black caviar to be destroyed,” he said.

A criminal case has been instituted.

Investigation is underway.

Police is trying to find the channel of delivery of counterfeit caviar.
